T-Shirt Quilt Class (4hr)
Welcome to making your first T-shirt quilt. We will start off small by learning the process on one t-shirt, and you will find that as you start working with T-shirts your imagination is the only limitation to your finished quilt. Come prepared to have fun and learn from each other. We must stabilize all your t-shirts first, then design them into a quilt, and this process takes most of the class. If you would like to bring a sewing machine, you might be able to sew a few shirts together. You are not required to bring a machine.
Materials needed for class:
- 10-20 Clean T-shirts washed without using fabric softener or dryer sheets (DO NOT CUT TSHIRTS)
- 3 yards Stabil-Tee (available at SQ)
- Large Teflon pressing sheet (available at SQ)
- Scissors
- 45mm or 60mm Rotary Cutter
- Rulers (12” square and larger if you have them. If you have any square rulers, please bring them.)
